APPRENTICESHIP IN HOSPITALITY SCOTLAND

We’re a proud partner of the Apprenticeship in Hospitality Scotland (AHS), an award-winning employee development programme that began in 2014 as a partnership between hotels across Scotland. The AHS is open to those aged between 17 and 24-years and offers a two-year apprenticeship through a Hospitality Apprenticeship and a Professional Cookery Apprenticeship.

The special thing about the Hospitality Apprenticeship programme is that it supports you to start or build your career. Over two years you’ll rotate every 6 months between Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Front Office and Kitchen, giving you the opportunity to experience working in each hotel department. The Professional Cookery route rotates 6 monthly around the different sections of the kitchen.

Applications open early March, offering you the chance to work with us and get to know us before kicking off your apprenticeship at the end of May So, if you’re between 17 and 24, and you’re interested in starting a career in hospitality with us, please get in touch: recruitment@apexhotels.co.uk

More information on the AHS opportunity can be found here; https://www.apprenticeshipinhospitality.scot/apprenticeships

SCOTTISH MODERN APPRENTICESHIPS

In Scotland, we’re also able to offer you a Scottish Modern Apprenticeship, which takes anything from 4 to 9 months to complete. You’ll be able to complete a team member level (SCQF Level 5) apprenticeship in core hospitality departments, including:

  • Front Office
  • Restaurants & Bars
  • Housekeeping
  • Kitchen
  • Conferences & Events

You’ll learn about your role, meet your external apprentice assessor and complete self-study, as well as be supported by your manager and training team to demonstrate your new skills.

So, if you’re between 16 and 24, not in full time education, and you can work a minimum of 30 hours a week, an apprenticeship may be for you. If you are over 24, and fancy something like this, still get in touch - we’d love to discuss other opportunities with you.

Please email us at recruitment@apexhotels.co.uk

APPRENTICESHIPS ENGLAND

In England, we’re able to offer you the Hospitality Team Member (Level 2) and Supervisor (Level 3) qualifications giving you an overview of hospitality-wide themes along with specialist topics relevant to your chosen department of either:

  • Front Office
  • Restaurants & Bars
  • Housekeeping
  • Kitchen
  • Conferences & Events

You’ll learn about your role, meet your external apprentice trainer, attend masterclasses as well as self-learn and be supported by your manager and training team to demonstrate your new skills.

So, if you’re 16 or over, not in full time education and you don’t already hold an equivalent or higher- level qualification on the same or related subject, as long as you can work a minimum of 30 hours a week, an apprenticeship may be for you.

Why don’t you get in touch? Please email us at recruitment@apexhotels.co.uk
